ear colleagues,

After two difficult years due to the pandemic, business is brisk again. Our civil and military customers are asking us to bring production quickly back up to pre-pandemic levels and are counting on us to meet our commitments to deliver high-quality products on time. This isn’t an easy challenge and is exacerbated by the Ukraine conflict bringing increased energy costs and raw material prices. because we need. In other words, this year’s ramp-up is poised to take on a new dimension.

To meet these challenges, all our companies are actively recruiting. At the same time, we’re investing to strengthen our industrial capabilities and working to support our supply chain which has been weakened by the pandemic. Our true strength lies in the solid fundamentals which underpin our performance: robust processes and the One Safran operational excellence initiative. Another mainstay is employee-driven innovation. Some 141,000 ideas were applied in 2021, underscoring your proactive engagement. Not to mention the digital transformation underway at our production facilities – another competitive advantage in this ramp-up that’s impacting all of our products and markets.

Along with these ramp-ups, we’re stepping up our corporate social responsibility (CSR) requirements, primarily through our far-reaching low carbon strategy, which is taking shape at all our sites and suppliers. Additionally, we must continuously strive to improve productivity and reduce costs.

As I take up my new role as Senior Executive Vice President, Production, Purchasing and Performance, I would like to thank my predecessor Bruno Durand for effectively laying the foundations for our recovery. I would also like to emphasize how grateful we are to everyone for their ongoing dedication and dynamic contribution. Gaining and sustaining employee buy-in across the organization is a key to achieving the levels of performance customers expect so that we can write a new chapter in Safran’s outstanding industrial story.
